Compute and connectivity powered by Intel will enable the first flying car races WITH AIRSPEEDER
When Airspeeder kicks off the world’s first flying electric car racing series with pilots, a new chapter in human history will begin. Taking off and landing vertically—like a drone—the 2,090-lb aircraft has a frame made of carbon fiber composite. Airspeeders will reach speeds of up to 225 mph with a projected range of 188 miles. Intel technology will help Airspeeder pilots race safely on a virtual racetrack which fans will see in real time, making the experience more immersive and dynamic for pilots and more spectacular for audiences.
As Official Intelligence Partner, Intel is helping develop the underlying IT infrastructure for the racing series. Intel® Core™ processors and Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors will provide end-to-end systems support and insights, offering advanced intelligence capabilities to enhance the racing experience for pilots and spectators alike. Pervasive 5G connectivity powered by Intel ensures critical data-processing continuity every second of the race, allowing next-level performance and control. It also helps define the virtual racetrack.
The actionable insights provided by AI will prove useful for racing and beyond. The racing series brings us one step closer to a future where personal flying electric vehicles are part of everyday life, and the insights provided today by Intel technology can make that future safer and more efficient. With the Airspeeder series forging a path for flying electric vehicles in the city of tomorrow, unlocking the future of private air mobility has never been closer.
